Two Way Text Message Communication Coming Soon!
A couple of days ago, I told you about our upcoming module called “Connect.”
In case you missed it, it’s a two-way communication module which is built specifically for non-commercial, personal back and forth communication between individuals.
From a business perspective, it allows you communicate with business contacts and clients via those simple text messages everyone is so comfortable with, without surrendering your personal cell phone number (i.e., without having to use your own phone) or maintaining subscriptions to a number of expensive “office cell phones” which are used expressly for this purpose.
Some examples of communications that are optimal for text / SMS…
- Connecting about the optimal time to deliver a new fridge or stove or arrange a service call.
- Letting a client know their service has been completed and they an now come and pick up their vehicle.
- Touching base about a meeting or scheduled appointment.
… And so on. Because texting is non-intrusive and requires a minimal investment of time on the part of both parties, it is often the most preferred communication medium for simple “back and forths” like this.
With Connect, you have an affordable, efficient tool for doing so.
At any rate, Connect 1.0 is just about ready for beta testing now. To show you a little more about how it all works, I’m going to include the main help video here. It’s around 10 minutes long, and will give you a solid understanding of how the service works. Check it out!
In Connect 2.0, we’ll expand the service so it can be used for incoming support messages (SMS is the ultimate tool for efficient inbound (reactive) customer service), bullying and kids help lines and more… all done with text messages of course!
